I’m getting a new puppy, how do I introduce it to my older dog?

Hi there, I am planning on in a few months. I already have a dog Perdiguero of gold and he is getting old now, I am worrying that when I introduce my dog Perdiguero no gold will like the new puppy and can hurt. How do I introduce? ¿Differ if one is a boy and a girl or two other guys? Is my dog likely to hurt the older dog? x
